Kill the double headed Snake!
Sep 26 2010, 4:39 PM EDT
We have talked about this for a long while now and one more time! I am tired of seeing our head coach looking like he lost on the sideline and our offensive coordinator should have stayed in San Diego with his predictable play calling! Can some one tell me why we haven't gotten a proven wide reciever? Someone who can strech the field besides steve smith! I think its time to make the move before the season gets away from us.

I kinda have to agree with the WR issue. I just don't see why the GMEN don't threaten the deep ball anymore. Life after Plax kinda sucks like that. The G's need to find a guy who can stretch the feild. Everyone is loading up against the run. Eli HAS to keep the safety's back, and a few 40-50-60 yard tosses can do that to a team. Just think--you might even Score!!

Please look at this objectively and stop making excuses for our QB. Nicks, Manningham and Smith are quality guys. In fact just as good as what Brees has in Norlins or better. Did you watch Aaron Rogers give his team a chance to win with his lightening quick release, pin-point accuracy down field as well as short passes and his mobility and will to win last night? That my friend is a Top Tier QB that plays every week in a manner that gives his team an opportunity to win AND he did it on the road vs an undefeated and hated rival without his starting RB!!! Stop displacing blame where it does not belong. Eli is NOT the only reason we have not played consistent football and well in playoffs and in BIG games over the past several years, but he too (his costly turnovers, ill advised throws and ability to get the ball deep)is part of the overall problem. The QB is the engine that makes ALL THINGS go. In his tenure, we have played consistently inconsistent, (even 2007 if you remember) because that is exactly how our 7 year veteran signal caller has played his entire career. A good game or two, followed by a disastrous one or two or average one or two & on & on. This current crop or WR's and Boss @ TE is the best I have seen in Blue and Ive been watching since 1972. Smith & Boss lay out in the most dangerous parts of the field for a receiver to go and Nicks can go up and get a "jump ball" with the best of them. Mario is the least consistent of the 3. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

GMEN11: I understand what you're saying about Eli but we all know if you look at his stats he has 6 interceptions and five are not his fault. I have seen him hit the recievers in their hands and watched it go threw to the defender to many times this season. He's got 11 sacks on him due to the line or the reciever not being able to beat the bumb and run covarage. Our running backs are decent except for Jacobs doing his tippy toe action not being able to make a decision to go through the hole. Im saying all this is part of what a head coach has to look at along with his O.C. and thats not happening. A quaterback needs to be in rythim along with his recievers and ours is just to young! Steve cant do it by himself. Jumping for the ball is fine in basketaball but you also have to catch it in football! I just dont see the fire or the want better yet I dont see the beast in the GMEN!

"gmen11 is dead on. A honest assessment, and I have to say I"ve witnessed all of that...sadly :(("Chef: It pains me to write it. We got rid of a few stars that questioned Eli's leadership and abilities. We have since changed our historic power run football to justify mortgaging the farm for him and paid him a lot of money at the sacrifice of signing guys like C. Dansby MLB that could have really helped us in the middle. Manning cannot lead this team to victory "consistency" throwing 35+ times particularly vs the better teams in the league.. His 3rd down choices to pass for less yardage needed for 1st downs is glaring, as is his inability to put the ball in the EZ in the red zone & untimely fumbles/int's. If you want to know why we won the last 4 games in 07 and SB 42 imo? The Defense first and foremost and that our signal caller had ONLY 1 turnover in 4 games and it was an Int. in the SB! 0 fumbles. Look it up. During that regular season, look at our 3 year veteran qb's QB ratings, red zone efficiency, fumbles and INT's. He had horrific ratings as low as 30s & 40s during the regular season but he managed the games beginning with Tampa & ending with the Pats and did not lose them for us. Since Plax is gone and #10 can not just throw it "close" we do not scare anyone throwing deep and that does nothing for the running game. Every DC comes in knowing Eli needs a lot of time to find receivers deep or he will continually throw slants and button hooks all game. I truly feel that the overall team lacks confidence in him like GB for instance has in Rogers and also in Coach Coughlin's willingness to add/delete players/make adjustments during a game. We saw it last year how our D responded to Coach Sheridan's lack of adjustments.....the D flat out quit! In spite of that HC Coughlin was ordered to fire Sheridan or I'm pretty certain he'd still be with us just like Tim Lewis was and KG is. Go Big Blue! Do you find this valuable? |

{cont}- would you agree that with the way our OT's have played thus far and with the great DE's that are still scheduled to play us, that a proven guy like Andrews should have been inserted in the lineup to protect the franchise QB by now? If not when? When Eli is in a body-cast? Has Boley played such lights out ball that Sintim should continue to ride the pine. Will Barden ever get the chance to show why our GM took a chance on a guy from Cal Poly? How bout inserting WR Cruz in for all these guys I hear, not see dropping great passes and see if he can provide a SPARK? Is Mitch Petrus still on our team or are we saving him b-c our offensive line is the best in the business and we do not need his services? I noticed former NYG Lb'er Kehl playing lights out, emotional football for St. Louis Rams....why b-c they are loaded with great talent? When we all wrote why we root for the Giants most of us said that it was because we indentify with their fighting spirit and players that find a way to compete/win. Am I the only one that cannot identify with this team anyomore? I hate it but I can accept losing if a team is just better and we left it all on the field while we tried every play and most players to get a W. Is that philosophy the norm aroung Big Blue anymore? We need to play inspired, "bear" down this Sunday on Primetime Television and get back to The NY Football Giants!

I agree with alot of the quotes. The play calling is making me sick. Game 1, third and 20 at midfield, a 10 yard crossing pattern for an INT. Game 3, third and 27, close to mid field, a 6 yard swing pass sets up a 53 yard FG that is MISSED. GIVE ME A BREAK. STRETCH THE FIELD. TAKE A SHOT DOWN FIELD. IM SORRY BUT I AM FEAD UP. THE COACHING STAFF NEEDS TO GO. COWHER, COWHER, COWHER. ITS A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN.

GO MY BIG BLUE GO!!!!This week will determine the rest of the season. Eli must break the Chicago Jinx, the running game has to get going and the defense must pin Chicago's first loss or you will have to clean house and hope for the next 2 years. P.S. I hope the people who bought the NFL Cable and Satellite packages know they can't be blacked out, unless there are refunds comming! Do you find this valuable? |
