Thanks bro. Philly -3 = Even on a neutral field. Fairly high under/over for all the past defensive battles we have played against each other. I'd like to see us get Beckum, Barden, Simptin some playing time this week. I agree with NYT and what den has repeatedly said since I joined this group; our game plan needs to be more diverse. May it be that, this all important week!

Sporting News has line at OFF, O/U at 46. Giants fans may see another Beckum sighting if Boss can't go. I too would like to see more of Simtin than just special teams. Speaking of special, could'nt venture a guess has too what special occasion would prompt a Barden sighting. I know he's a 3rd round pick, but he's a raw talent we took, IMO, one round too early, for the future. I'm really not concerned (neither was Coach Coughlin) with the play calls (same ratio of run to pass has this time last year) in general. More concerned with rythme, (has was Coach Coughlin) get to the line and snap the ball! Philly injury woes are on defense, they are loaded on offense.

4. RE: ONTO WEEK 8 L.I. Newsday POWER RANKINGS
Oct 27 2009, 5:30 PM EDT
Glauber's NFL Hot Reads NFL Power Rankings: Cowboys RISE, Giants SINK 1. Saints (6-0) (1): You know you’re good when the quarterback throws three picks and fumbles once and then helps the comeback win. Defense was huge in this one, too, with 2 INT returns for TDs as Aints recover from 24-3 deficit against the Fish. (I know, a dolphin’s a mammal. Leave me alone. The nickname works.) 2. Colts (6-0) (2): Take your pick for MVP, Drew Brees or Peyton Manning. A layup win at St. Louis, as Coach Manning leads the way with three more TD passes. 3. Broncos (6-0) (3): Broncos letter perfect at the bye under rookie head coach Josh McDaniels. Big one coming up this week, though. At well-rested Ravens. 4. Vikings (6-1) (4): Two late turnovers by Brett Favre dooms the Vikings, although the second – an interception late in the fourth quarter – was a tipped ball and wasn’t his fault. On to Green Bay, where the enemy returns this weekend! 5. Patriots (5-2) (6): Not a scintillating performance by Tom Brady, but you don’t even have to be average to beat the Bucs. 6. Bengals (5-2) (8): Coming off home loss the week before to the Texans, the Bengals take out their frustration on the Bears and crush Jay Cutler & Co. 7. Steelers (5-2) (9): Defense takes over with two return TDs to head off another Brett Favre comeback at the pass. ‘Bout time the defense looked like the defending Super Bowl champs. 8. Cowboys (4-2) (14): Wasn’t it just a couple weeks ago Jerry Jones had to give Wade Phillips a vote of confidence? Pokes now riding high after convincing home win against Hot ‘Lanta. 9. Cardinals (4-2) (12): After beating Jints, Cardinals have now opened a season with three straight road wins for the first time since moving to the desert in ’88. 10. Giants (5-2) (5): After fattening up on mostly creampuffs, the Giants have now lost two straight against elite teams (Saints, Cardinals). Doesn’t get any easier this week: at Philly. This fan is pushing the under:http://history.giants.com/video/7975380/NFL+week+8+2009+teaser+-+Giants+%40+Eagles Not a bad thought with Westbrook most likely out for the Eagles and the Giants O struggling to stay consistent for 4 quarters... Do you find this valuable? |

The line in Florida Sun Seninel now shows NYG -1 going into showdown.....think there was a truck-load of "GGGG"reen dollars being put down on Big Blue! Wow, rarely do you ever see a spread change +/- 4 points. Perhaps the patched up Eagle O-line is the reason why. Westbrook was doubtful since Monday when the spread opened @ Philly -3. If I was a bettor, I would not touch this game with a 10 ft. pole. Roble, just my opinion, but if star RB is out wouldn't you think that would make D. McNabb throw down field more to his speedy wideouts and Giant weakness and score more points instead of their usual balanced attack? Just wondering.......nothing more.

Manningham is on the inactive list, that will slow the Giants offense up some more. Westbrook is officially out too for the Eagles. McNaab needs to complete those passes G-11. The under!

Week 8 was a travesty. I am completely disheartened. I need to go to work happy on Mondays, or all my customers will suffer my wrath. I hate losing on Sundays cuz it makes for a miserable Monday. And I hate losing to the FEEBLES, almost as I hate losing to DALLAS.
