Parody of Cal
Aug 31 2009, 2:09 PM EDT | Post edited: Aug 31 2009, 2:09 PM EDT
Did not know about Cal until uncovering a NY Giants related video clip cartoon of baseball player Carl Bubble which was made as a parody of Carl Hubble otherwise known as Cal:

In 1927, the NY Giants won their 1st NFL Championship after a trade for Hubble. He earned the NFL Hall of Fame in 1963, congrats. It'd be nice to hear more from Giants fans who know a little something about his game and why the parody was made about Cal, thx.

Dude, Carl Hubble played baseball for N.Y.Baseball Giants. Skit is about him, not Cal Hubbard. You are nothing if not a wealth of misinformation sometimes. LOL! Profile of Hubbard on this site has him playing only one season in '32. He also played for N.Y.Football Giants in '27-'28. Do you find this valuable?

You're right. I should not have put "LOL" after it. Clearly lacks venom. Do you find this valuable?

and I was gonna let him slide on that fubar den; too many other items to comment on. Pretty emphatic opinions for someone who lumps NY and San Franciso Giants together; it's OK though, that's the reason you get grace for some of your "interesting" predications and comments. Do you find this valuable?

Roble,I apologize. That was a little harsh. Never claimed to be a nice guy. Even harbor a mean streak from time to time. I did say "sometimes". G-11, not sure what direction your going, or your use of term "interesting". Wasn't aware I warranted grace from anyone, your too kind. Thank you, I think. Do you find this valuable?

den, my bad bro. The comment on interesting predictions was meant for RR, not you. I respect his opinion but sometimes things like back up will step in and get it dome is more wishful thinking or Eli can throw over top anytime sounds good but does not seem to be credible. Ball control and vertical game have nothing to do with each other I call interesting b/c I cannot come up with another term for it. Do you find this valuable?

Well, you never see us together. So it is possible. One mans rudeness is another man's venomous sarcasm. Do you find this valuable?

Roble, I assure you that Den and I are not the same person; he is better looking (you see my profile picture)? Rude is a strong word and rude people would not post condolensces to G-fans that lost their loved ones the way we and others have or put out a BOLO for you and A right?. Perhaps den & I are from the same generation of holding players like Plax, Marshall accountable (what you and so many othe younger generation call judging) for their illegal/immoral and distracting behaviors. I'd like to know what your opinion would have been if one of your loved one was struck by that bullet that came out of an often irresponsible Burress's firearm. You probably would be calling or better yet screamimg for justice no? Similarly, your opinion, like everyone elses is valueable, but you make "emphatic" comments with little fact to back it up or a limited amount of familiarity with the rich history of New York Giant football. I.E. Who is Robestelli & Manning a better QB than Tittle! Yes you're entitled to your opinion, but in most Big Blue circles comments like that would be heresy not b/c of your opinion but because your perspective of these players is lacking somewhat or invisible altogether. I don't know, are we somewhat responsible to research a topic before we're gonna post something? Each person has to answer that question for themselves. Now is this me posting or den/ny/gmen? Hmmm an interesting dilemma for sure. Back to football........let's finish strong vs the Pats and how appropriate that more than likely Tyree finishes his short career against the team where he was part of a miracle! Do you find this valuable?
