Giants vs Jets this week in a preseason tuneup. Jets Rookie QB Sanchez will have to deal with the Giants defensive pressure up front. Any thoughts about this rivalry game? Do you find this valuable?

Jets and Giants have met in preseason for past 40 years. First meeting was 1969. Jets hold preseason lead with a record of 21-18-1. 33rd meeting in the Meadowlands. Always a fierce rivalry. Several players and coaches that have exchanged jerseys and clipboards on both sides of ball tonight. Should be a defensive battle. New HC Ryan for Jets used to be Baltimore DC. Coach Ryan is son of former Eagles HC Buddy Ryan. New look Jets will be very aggresive on defensive side of ball. Do you find this valuable?

NY Giants Rookie Free Agent CB Bruce Johnson did not win the Pepsi Player of the Week Two award with his stellar play Vs the Cowboys because Jets QB Mark Sanchez did:

Game 16 against the Viks and Rookie WR Percy Harvin is going to be HUGE!

Taking NOTHING away from poised rookie Sanchez, continues defying the odds and winning NFL fans over week after week, but the award is prima facia evidence that QB's and offensive skill positions in general have always commanded more attention, are awarded more accolades, and make more dinero than do deserving, dynamic and dominating defenders. Defensive players contribution's are not as tangible or visible as the offense's, yet no less valueable. Plz see past umpteeen Heisman trophy winners and SB 42 MVP. Justin Tuck 6 Tackles/ 5 Solo, 2 QB Sacks, 1 forced fumble, too many QB hits to count.............perhaps at least worth a Co MVP? Nah........LOL Do you find this valuable?

I remember when this was once called The Mayors Trophy Game. I love this pre-season rivalry, and now we get forward to seeing it "really matter" once every 4 years. Do you find this valuable?
