Maybe the Redskins picked on Sarusky because the Giants had put him on the program cover over the words "Giants New Sensation" see the photo in the gallery - http://history.giants.com/photo/3565195/Game+Program+Dec+6+1936

AA, get the family ready for the Rival Redskins who come to New York next week to open up the 2009 NFL season at this Giant Stadium for the last time. Here's a grumpy Washington fans review of their last preseason game Vs the Jags: http://history.giants.com/video/7357721/Redskins-Jaguars+Preseason+Postgame If the Redskins cannot the run the ball early they will be in big trouble on Sunday. When Sunday rolls around for the 1st game of the 2009 NFL season and the last home opener at this Giants Stadium, I hope the players Intro is way, way louder than this Dec game was!:http://history.giants.com/video/7371181/New+York+Giants+vs.+Redskins+Dec.+16+Intro Do you find this valuable? |

New Skins starter at WR named Malcom Kelly:The Washington Post reports that when the Redskins begin practicing on Monday in preparation for Week 1 at Giants Stadium, second-year WR Malcolm Kelly is expected to practice with the first-team offense as the starting flanker. Kelly earned the spot on the strength of his impressive preseason performance, and the Redskins are excited about what he brings to the passing game. "Malcolm really came along this preseason," quarterback Jason Campbell said. "He got a chance to get back into the feel of the game. He's still learning how to improve, but I do think that the way he reaches out and catches the ball is very ... I'm very excited about it. I just think he's going to be a tremendous player." Analysis: Kelly is on his way back from a troublesome season that included lots of knee problems, but his big size can give the Redskins a favorable matchup in the red zone. If he and Campbell can get on the same page, Kelly could post some decent totals. We like him with a late-round pick in dynasty/keeper leagues. -The Skins have to get to the Red Zone 1st! This NFC East rivalry stepped up Big Time this week with the Redskins recent signing of ex-Giant QB Andre' Woodson to their practice sqaud. The NFL is a business and that's the bottom line, no crying over split milk. Thought it would be interesting to hear the 'Z-man' Head Coach Jim Zorn of Washington, discuss his starting QB Jason Campbell becoming more aggressive and facing adversity during the Redskins 2009 OTA's and Training camp:http://history.giants.com/video/7398111/Jim+Zorn+Discusses+Jason+Campbell+on+SIRIUS%7CXM+Radio Sounds like the Skins really wanted QB Jay Cutler. After watching Cutler play in the pre-season game Vs the Giants, I can see why. This non-trade for Cutler in the off-season will cost Washington heavy this Sunday. Do you find this valuable? |

AA: I guess this FINALLY answers a couple questions I have had:> how did this Nova Scotian become a Giants fan? > What is Arlington Assassin all about? :) Nice article! And meanwhile - lets go kick some Woodson butt. Hopefully his play- recollection skills are about as sloppy as his gameplay. Do you find this valuable? |
