There was a game scheduled before the Providence game - 10/4/25 against a New Britain CT team led by Raymond "Ducky" Pond, a Yale star and teammate of Century Milstead. The New York Times reported: New York Pro Eleven Takes Opening Game, Overwhelms Ducky Pond's New Britain Team by 26 to 0.
