According to SI, the NY Giants are ranked number 5 in the NFL over the past Decade. Thanks Den.
1. NE 2. Pittsburgh 3. Indy 4. Philly and 5. New York Giants -Eli Manning and the Giants had arguably the decade's biggest win, beating the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. Regular season: 80-64, .556 Playoff wins/record: 6-5 Super Bowls won/appeared: 1 out of 2 Playoff seasons: 6 Winning seasons: 5 Losing seasons: 3 -The Giants present us with our first real judgment call, because No. 6 Baltimore owns three more regular-season wins, not to mention that Super Bowl XXXV lambasting of New York in January 2001. But we're giving a slight nod to the Giants based on their two Super Bowl trips this decade, and that monumental upset of New England two years ago. New York also has one more playoff season than the Ravens (six to five), albeit one of them was of the cheapie, 8-8 variety. Everyone of these teams and Baltimore at #6 are looking tough again going into 2009. Can the Giants leapfrog up the rankings past the Eagles this year and also past Peyton Manning and the Colts? Or, might they drop because the Ravens will have a better overall year. Either way, it's been a real nice decade New York Giants!! What say ye?

You know the NFL regular season is close when your fantasy football league is drafting and you're wondering where to draft Bradshaw at RB? Anyone?
Giant fan T1mdog23 poised 3 good questions to himself: 1. Does Eli deserve the big $ contract? 2. Are the Giant WR's legit enough to win? 3. Who wins the NFC East? http://history.giants.com/video/7330855/New+York+Giants+-+Three+Questions 1. Yes Eli does. QB is the most important position on the team. The Giants win when he's on and not having a contract issue over your head will ease stress on any human in today's economy. BP, Timex and the new Giants Stadium revenue, plus, my $6 a month contribution to the NFL Network will hopefully help pay it. 2. I say No, from what I've seen, this is a below AVG group of NFL WR's that has upside but not enough to be legit. If I played DB I would be much more worried about taking licks from Jacobs than locking down Mario or Hixon at this time. If a trade for a #1 is not a sound decision perhaps resigning Toomer for the right reasons is. 3. BINGO, no question, this Giants 2009 team is focused on the task which is the next game. Take care of business each week, especially in the tough NFC East games and NY Giants 2009 History will result in a Super Bowl run and possible Title. To answer my own Giants Q & A question (it's fun, try it!) I think drafting Bradshaw as a compliment to Jacobs makes him a 6th round consideration, otherwise, maybe 8th or 9th rd. If you're drafting with many other Giant fans, move everything up 1 rd or maybe even 2! If you have any 2009 Giants Q & A to add to this thread, please step right up and have some fun!

How big is this rivalry today? I remember watching this game in 2007 on TV with my bro and saying how it seemed like the NY Giants came together in a special way although in defeat:
http://history.giants.com/video/7320321/Patriots+vs+Giants+Week+16+2007-2008 Then the best ever Super Bowl 42 win happens over the undefeated NE team and this really rivalry takes off. Even though it's only preaseason, playing the Patriots seems like a good test for any NFL team that wants to win the Super Bowl, with or without Brady. If you have any Patriot related things to say, say it here.

I really do not know and would like to hear your opinions. I think it might soon be the cross town NY Jets, especially if they play each other in this years Super Bowl!!!
