there are four of us who have 2 season tickets for the Giants. It took us about 23 years to get the tickets and now it looks like we might have to give up the seats. We have not received a notice about the cost of the psl for our seats buy it looks like at any price it will be too much for us to pay. I for one am not in agreement with having to pay a fee to purchase tickets to watch my team play football. I am a crazy fan like all of you but I hope some how we can keep out seats. I think especially with two teams playing in the stadium the giants could well afford not to charge the license fee and still make enough money to survive. This is my feeling and I hope most people would agree.

Rbeblsr: I have been wondering when someone was going to comment on this very sad situation. I completely agree and think this whole thing will be the end of a major part of Giant football. Like you - my family has had season tickets, started from my grandpa, for something like 40-50 years. We have great seats at Giant stadium - 30 yard line, 1st Tier. And you might suspect, I don't care how much money a person may have - $20K per seat license ($40k for 2 seats), is just ludicrous, and in particular this year, a lot of people just can't dip that deep. It's a sad shame that after so many years, we have to give up the one thing that was left from the days of my grandfather and the sheer joy he had for Giant's football, especially when he had the chance to go to a game - something my dad, my aunt, my mom and me have also enjoyed so much over the years.
Since I don't live in NY/NJ anymore, and my parents and aunt split ownership, I can't do much about it, but I can't imagine Wellington Mara would have supported this approach.
The last thing I hope for is the NY Giants games to just become a capitalist venture that only casual 'business' and celebrity fans, rather than pure-bread, rabid Giants fans, can regularly go to enjoy.

Thanks for your opinion on this really sad situation. Our seats are in the upper deck but I still do not know what we are going to do for next year. The tickets are in my brothers name and it is his call. I think we are probably going to lose the tickets. Thanks again Ron
