@ jherling< not to be a kiljoy here but Mark Bavaro was already on to playing for another team {phil-clev} when Derek Brown was drafted in the first round.....so.......? furthermore I thought drafting a player and paying him first round benjamins was done because that pick was very likely to make the team better. How many te's or wr's are taken with the first pick anyway.The money he received could have gone to another player that could have helped the Giants right-so he did hurt the team directly by not producing and indirectly by wasting the pick. Brown started seven games his rookie season and was pathetic. Sorry but your facts and point of view are flawed here respectfully if you ask me.
