Giants Notre Dame program 1930
In 1930 Steve Owen was still a player and featured on this program cover.
Chris Cagle had been a famous All American at Army and joined the Giants just before this game against Green Bay.
In 1930 the Giants played a charity game against Notre Dame All Stars including the Four Horsemen - the last game Knute Rockne would coach.

Cardboard Scorecard
Hap Moran
This 1931 program featured future Hall of Fame player Morris "Red" Badgro, who also played Major League Baseball.
If you didn't have 15 Cents for
the color program, you could buy a
cardboard scorecard for 10 Cents.
Hap Moran set an NFL record with a 91 yard run
in 1930. It was the longest run from scrimage for any Giant until Tiki Barber ran 95 yards in 2005.

By 1933 Steve Owen was on the cover
as the Giants Coach.
Ray Flaherty

Ray Flaherty was an All-Pro end for the Giants
and Steve Owen's assistant coach.
Ken Strong

In 1934 the Giants defeated the Bears for the
NFL Championship. Ken Strong is pictured.



Mel Hein

All Pro Hall of Fame Center and Linebacker
Mel Hein was on many covers.
Dale Burnett

Dale Burnett was scoring leader for the NFL when he was on this program cover from 1935.
Harry Newman

After an injury sidelined Giants QB Harry Newman, he returned for this game against the Redskins.

Len Grant
Ed Danowski was one of many Fordham players who helped the Giants in the 1930s
Tuffy Leemans was the Giants New Star
on the cover of this 1936 program
Len Grant was a fixture on the Giants line from 1930 to 1937. Sadly, he was killed by lightning on a golf course just before the 1938 season



Hank Soar
Ed Wisdeth
Ward Cuff
Hank Soar played in the backfield for the Giants,
coached pro basketball, and was an umpire in Major League Baseball.
Ed Wisdeth played at Tackle for the Giants
from 1937 to 1940
Ward Cuff played eleven seasons with New York
beginning in 1937. He played wingback, fullback, halfback, defensive back and kicker for the Giants
