Hi Fans I am a raiders fan but it just pisses me off when the Chargers call Tomlinson LT. There is only one LT and the other teams need to quite calling that nut LT. LT is one of the best players to every play the game of football . He"s made the Raiders think twice when the Giants played them. LT made me a fan of the Giants.
Still a Raiders fan, but LT made me a fan of the Giants years ago. Best of luck nest season. |

I have been a giants fan since 1985, have been going to games since 1992, I have my whole family believing there is only one way to be a nfl fan, and that is being true and blue, unfortunately that (as you all know) has its many ups and downs.Yesterday was one of the worst... but thats giants football and life goes on, I know I did my part and had a great tailgate with my buddies, we were the 8b crew but moved to 16e when we got kicked out of our area for the new stadium... I have gone to 95% of games since '92 sitting behind fireitup, a crazy fan in section 323.

Harry Carson who attended the game yesterday questions this group of Giants sense of pride. Here are a few posts in NY Daily News today: 1. The Real Steve Smith # 12
December 28, 2009 1:17 AM disgusting, i am actually glad the Cowboys won today. This team deserves to be out of the playoffs. ESPN reports that Bill Cowher plans on coaching in 2010. I don't know about everyone else but he's the guy I would want in here. His hiring as a head coach for the Giants will most certainly get people excited about watching this team next year. He would come in, want his own staff, and get all these bums that call themselves coaches out of this town. Management needs to get on the Cowher train ASAP. Because i got a fever, and the only prescription is more "Cow"bell. 2. katcavage December 28, 2009 12:24 AM Sheridan handled that poorly and well who takes his place? say what? the horse already ran out the open barn door. this should have been done as soon as it became evident or at latest by the bye week BUT coughlin is a stubborn old man and wouldnt admit his mistake. sheridan had no experience to be given that job in the first place. that giuta guy already a giant assistant had been the D-C when the st. louis rams won the super bowl and had an excellent defense. but the old coughlin wanted to call the shots so he promoted amn amateur to do the job - his friend who he soon will fire trying to save his own skin - sheridan. I will say it again......when a team quits as often as ours did this season; especially in MUST win games, THE HEAD COACH MUST ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY . Stewart's 206 rushing yards were also the most the Giants have ever allowed to an opposing player in the 282 games played at Giants Stadium. I see no reason to keep Tom Coughlin in NY. While the wrecking ball tears down our great stadium, JR should mimick that maneuver from the inside. Start clean for 2010 season! I was embarrassed to be a Giant fan yesterday! G11

I have always wanted since his days with the Giants an LT #56 jersey. Never got one. I still want one, maybe someday. Would've loved an #89 Bavaro and maybe even an #11 Simms. I'm over all that now. What I do have is one blue #80 Shockey jersey and a red #92 Strahan jersey, both gifts from my loving wife. I won't wear either one now, don't ask me to explain. What I'm getting at is this, my wife asked me the other day who my new favorite player was, (my guess is she wanted a hint on a christmas gift) and after a moment of thought, I did'nt have an answer (I told her #91, Tuck just to give her something). After thinking about it since then, I still don't have an answer. Of the five aforementioned names, I can make a solid case for why each of their jerseys deserved to be hanging in my closet . I can't pinpoint one player on todays team that excites me enough to run out and buy his jersey, not one. There isn't one player on this team perfoming on a level beyond any other. If I discover a jersey, whomevers, under the tree on Christmas Day, I'll wear it proudly and we'll all know the answer to my quandry!

I think I want to see Clint Sintim, Canty, Kia, Osi and Tuck all on the field for obvious passing downs...try blocking 5 pass rushers on one play.
I think its time to give Makenzie's job to Beatty...Snee is on an island on the right side with the slow and aging Makenzie. I want to see more 4 WR sets to take safeties out of the box and open up th run/screen game. Teams will stack the box til they are burned. The O line can block 5 but no defense can cover 4 or 5 as shown by the Saints this year. We have the deepest receiving core in 20 30 years and don't use em to open the run. Imiagine Jacobs, Bradshaw and Ware with LB's and Safeties 10 to 20 yards off the line cause of 4 WR sets. then the play action actually becomes a viable option late in the game. And lastly.....how about the occasional trick play/misdirection....One of the scariest things I everr saw from a defensive POV was the Kerry to tiki to Kerry fleaflicker....get the damn D to bite and play honest.

I remember the immortal words of Edward L Norton on the Honeymooners...."Be kind to the people on the way up, because youre gonna meet the same people on the way down; happens every day to me in the sewer"! Flash back, we are 5-0 , SB bound, and our star MLB takes a cheap shot at the Raiders; people talking about a perfect season. Let's face it gang.......we are not the team we all expected us to be...SIMPLE! Our OC, DC, QB, MLB are NOT who we thought they were either. Leaders WIN and the guys we count on to get it done are not doing that. Can you see a team with Marino or the other Manning not scoring from 1st and goal on the four or not having the balls to go on fourth down? Where is that superstar QB that gets paid ALOT of MONEY to wins games for NYG? 20 points at home vs Chargers? Not acceptable for who they say he is. His red zone % is an abomination! Gilbride smells, but a QB can always audiblize or check down if his OC calls for a GO on 3rd and 2....our guy does not. Boley comes back from surgery and leads all LBers in tackles? Where s the fool that insulted Oakland? We are a little above average guys and girls and it hurts to say that. I really thought the more expensive Manning could carry this talented team but he CANT.....and our defense does not dictate any more...it REACTS. Injuries hurt us but this is the NFL and players have to make plays. Saying all this, times have been worse so I'm still in for the long haul, but much like Den, my high expectations for this team, our defense, our QB for the next 5 years, is gone. Pierce should not be wearing BLUE next year imo and neither do the safeties we are employing at the current time. Gilbride has had long enough and Sheridan is in over his head. We may make the playoffs,(doubt it), but make other plans in February; I hear cruises are a good bargain right now...."BLUE" about BLUE after we BLEW one we shoulda had.

Okay guys and gals, in honor of one of our new friends here on the site who claimed he is the 'world's biggest Giants fan', I'd love to see how many interesting pitches we can get for why YOU are the 'World's Biggest Giant's Fan' - and by 'biggest, I don't really mean BIG (like fat), cause then some of us couldn't play, but I do mean, why are you the most dedicated, or the most passionate, the most crazy, or the most fanatical Giants fan of all?
I am sure we all have some good stories - so lay it out - I don't think there are winners or losers here cause I bet all the stories are pretty good. But lay it out as if there were a winner and you were playing for the Superbowl of Giants' fans! I'll play too - I just need to run right now, so I'll chime in a bit later.

What's it like to "Face the Giants?"
Whether it's on the road in an enemy city, or back home in the last year of Giants Stadium in 2009 where play began in 1976. Of course, this ongoing discussion goes back in time to the very beginning of the NFL and Giants history to 1925 and the Polo Grounds, and to 1956 when they called Yankee Stadium home and will continue moving forward when the new NY Giants Stadium opens for games in 2010. For me, it's like this: http://history.giants.com/video/6417353/Facing+the+Giants You simply don't want to "Face the Giants" it's a team and org that simply won't quit like Brock Kelly! :) What do you all think it's like for any opposing NFL team, player, staff and fan when they have to "Face the Giants?"

My dad was one of the greatest Giants fans of all times and he started me out at an early age loving Big Blue. We went to so many games together and with our family, including the Super Bowls against the Broncos & Bills. He instilled a passion for the Giants in me that it is incomparable, so when he passed away in 1997, I wasn't sure how to fill that void. I came up with a solution that has turned into a longstanding tradition. Every Giant game I attend (all at home & some on the road), I leave a bouquet of red & white flowers under my seat in his honor. My goal is to put those flowers under the seat in as many stadiums across the country that I can get to when the Giants play. This year will be in New Orleans. Thanks to him, I have learned to be the best Gaints fan I can be--Go BIG BLUE!
