It's no secret that you must win your division first before you can move on towards the playoffs. It's also no mystery that the team we could not wait to face this year with that proverbial "chip on our shoulder", because of our early and embarrassing exit in 08, the eagles, own us at the present time. Consider the fact that they beat us in our yard, w/o Westbrook, and with some of their other stars dinged up or out all together. They are 4-0 in last four meetings against us and score 85 pts this season in two contests. Scanning our current roster, do we employ an answer for DeShawn Jackson or Jeremy Maclin and the speed they possess? Do we have LB'ers that can keep up with RB, LeShawn McCoy? Hand it to Reid and Philly ownership. They have won 100+ games in this decade and are poised to win another 100 with the speed they drafted recently in the next one. NYG must address this glaring inbalance this off season through the draft and possibly free agency. Both Philly & Dallas ate up a lot of real estate this year vs Big Blue and w/o a little luck, we would have been swept by Boys too. NFC East is not power football like its been in the past; high flying, high scoring, big plays & SPEED is vogue right now and we need to keep up with the "Joneses" for a lack of a better phrase! Thoughts?

" I know that the NFC East isn't the smashmouth division we are all used to but just because the Eagles and the Cowboys are doing it does'nt mean we have to sell our souls too. Giants football, cloud of dust offense and punch you in the head defense will do just fine! " good upbeat post den and we agree on Giant amount of things. As far as the last thought though, may I remind you what the great Muhammed Ali used to say....ya can't hit what you can't see so I float like a butterfly and sting like a bee! Our defense had better get alot quicker soon, or we will be "chasing" all three of our divisional foes, while they soar like eagles, dance like the "stars" during a metor shower and "skin" us alive. That transition I spoke about early in the season is "spreading" like the plague. 4 & 5 wide, empty backfield formations and speed, speed, speed is the name of the game; not just in nfc east, but throughout the league. So many teams now are flavoring their passing game with the run instead of the other way around. We probably have enough toughness, combined with speed on O, but you can clock our defensive players in the 40 yard dash with a calendar........Punching in the head huh?; you been hanging around O'Hara again? LOL Time to see if we can win with a CAPITOL W....go giants

One thing for sure the Giants will not loose this week. They have to work to get ready for Atlanta the following week. As badly as the team is playing if we get our act together we still have a chance to be a wild card and a outside chance of the division. The Giants still have to play the division teams but the Atlanta game is a must win so we can keep the tie braker against the Falcons if things work out in the end. for the Giants. First of all they have to play like they belong and not be afraid to throw the ball more often.

Giants say they still have confidence, faith and determination on their side. There is also history. The 1989 Los Angeles Rams won first 5 games and then lost 4 in a row. The Rams finished 11-5, lost NFC championship game to 49ers. The Giants know they have their work cut out for them. Giants are notorious for losing games following a bye week, but have never gone into a bye on a 4 game losing streak. On injury front LB Gerris Wilkinson had surgery yesterday to repair dislocated wrist, expected to miss 6 weeks. One comes off, one goes on.

Giants Tweets lost their most active person when Tutan Reyes was released from the practice sqaud this week. Bummer for everyone. AP is doing his 1st Twitter Q & A tomorrow. Barden says a lot in a few words. I like that, hope his game is the same way. Sinorice now has over 10,000 followers which is cool but please focus on football (Giants not the Hurricanes!) while keeping the blessings rolling Humble83...

Just took the Giants.com Fan Poll by dunkin donuts asking: Who is your Favorite NY Giant right now? I was fan 19,352.
So far here is where the vote stand: -QB Eli Manning & RB Brandon Jacobs both at 28%. -DE Osi Omenyiora 21% & Justin Tuck 17%. -LB Antonio Pierce 4%. -WR Steve Smith 3%.
Not surprised Eli is not the clear #1 with Giant fans. Jacobs blue-collar image, playing ability and upside make him hard to to like the most. Offensive linemen get no credit!!

When Lawrence Tynes first walked through the door at the Giants facility the first person he saw was Howard Cross. He walked up to Howard and said "HI,I'm LT". Howard Cross just looked at him for a moment shoke his head and said "NO,NO you're not!"So I guess the answer to you're question RR is "NO!"
